Using Focus3
Contact Attributes
Overview
- Contact Attributes allow Users to store custom Contact information, such as a contact's preferences, interests, etc. For example, Contact Attributes could be used to record Contact responses to survey or profile questions regarding product and lifestyle interests or demographic information.
- An Attribute Group is a set of common Attributes that may be given a name. (ex. Activities of Interest)
- An Attribute is a specific label that refers to an aspect of a Contact. (ex. Golf) The values for an attribute may be optional or required and may be presented in a variety of formats:
- Text (custom text area)
- Select Multiple (preset multi-select menu)
- Select One (preset drop-down menu)
- Yes/No (checkbox)
- Contact Attribute values may be inserted by a Focus3 User or by a secure Web Service from an external application (ex. web site contact form).
- Attribute values are stored on a Contact when submitted and are un-editable by Users.
- Contact Attribute values are intended to be a snapshot of a Contact's information at a given point in time.
- Contact Attribute Groups may be submitted multiple times as desired.
- Users must have the "Manage Contact Attributes" Permission to manage Attribute Groups and Attributes.
- Users with the ability to manage/edit a Contact may submit Attribute values for the Contact as desired.
